Shaykh Muhammad Idris Watts was raised up in Kent, United Kingdom. In 1998 he accepted Islam and began pursuing Islamic knowledge. The shaykh studied Arabic Language at the University of Leeds and took it a step further by studying Arabic Language studies in the city of Fez, Morocco. Whilst in Morocco, the Shaykh had sat in a number of zawiyahs where knowledge was shared. After a period of time he attended Qarawiyeen University for four years, learning numerous sciences including Ajrumiyah, Lāmiyat al-Af’āl, Matn az-Zanjānī, Alfiyah in Grammar and Morphology. The shaykh is a full time scholar at Abu Zahra Foundation which is an established institute.
