Shaykh Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was born in 19th February 1951 in Jhang, Pakistan. Since then he has been raised in a household of elite scholars including his father Dr Farida’d-Din al-Qadri. He started to begin his education in Medina where he studied in al-‘Ulum ash-Shar‘iyya at the age of 12. He has studied in several universities gaining knowledge in both Islamic sciences and secular. The Shaykh is the founder of Minhaj ul Quran and has since expanded rapidly to 90 different countries around the world.
